Job Title/Brief Description: Environmental Coordinator
(Part-Time 25-30 hours per week, Monday-Friday, occasional Saturdays): Develop and implement marketing plans and on-going volunteer promotions to increase participation and attract new volunteers; Research advertising opportunities, track effectiveness of advertising, and develop advertisements, disseminate press releases as needed; Provide comprehensive recycling volunteer service and establish volunteer retention; Maintain relationships through consistent follow-up via telephone, email, US mail and in-person meetings; Create opportunities for Keep Odessa Beautiful’s recycling program distinction and competitive edge; Update and maintain a quarterly plan of action for increasing recycling participant returns, including participant promotions, events, advertising, and specialized projects/partnerships; Recruits and schedules all volunteers; Bring environmental awareness to the community; Educational responsibilities and outreach, i.e. school presentations; Facilitate the exchange of environmental related information; Research and maintain working knowledge of relevant environmental rules and regulations; Promote recycling, composting, tours of the Time Machine and new bailer, build on the concept of “green”; Assist in the planning and implementation of projects; Empower the community to be involved and garner a sense of ownership in their recycling efforts; Bilingual a plus, Any other duties assigned by the Executive Director.

r - Communities In Schools of the Permian Basin (CIS-PB), a stay-in-school program providing early intervention on selected campuses within MISD and ECISD since 1999, is seeking a dynamic Executive Director to lead, direct and oversee its non-profit organization. Candidates must have a Bachelors degree (Masters preferred), non-profit management experience (at least three years preferred), proven fundraising ability, financial knowledge, and supervisory experience with at-will employees. High level of interpersonal and communication skills and established connections in the education, social service and business community desired. Position requires excellent organization, training, coordinating, and leadership skills as well as sensitivity to the needs of youth and diverse ethnic populations. Organization Name:  SHARE, Sharing Hands A Respite Experience
Job Title/Brief Description:  SHARE is seeking a Volunteer Coordinator
for its respite care, sibling support, and parent support programs.  The responsibilities of the Volunteer Coordinator include: speaking to organizations about volunteer opportunities, recruiting new volunteers and volunteer groups, developing and maintaining a volunteer data base, communicate with volunteers through e-mail and phone calls, and staffing SHARE and Sibshop events with qualified volunteers and nurses.  On respite care nights, the Volunteer Coordinator will assign volunteers to care rooms, conduct volunteer trainings, and coordinate volunteer responsibilities.  For Sibling (Sibshop) Support programs, the Volunteer Coordinator will staff events with qualified volunteers.  He /she will develop a database of adult siblings and persons who are knowledgeable about sibling's issues.  Good communication, organizational, and computer skills are necessary to recruit and manage volunteers.   This part time position requires 20 hours a week  which includes supervising volunteers during respite care  twice a month on Friday nights from 5-10 pm.
